While researching for a new project, I came across a detailed video tutorial on how the Starfield Frontier ship was made on Adam Savage's YouTube channel. The excitement it sparked in me resulted in completing it with 1.7 times the scale he provided. The small scale of my 3D printer extended the printing process to up to a month. But in the end, I completed it.

About the Project:

Before making the Starfield Frontier ship, I actually had a spaceship made from a few plastic and wooden pieces, the visuals of which I'll share with you at the end of the blog. This was actually a ship I created in my own imagination, and as I delved into the details, the use of materials and the absence of parts proved to be quite challenging one by one.

Materials Used and Techniques:

I printed the models on the 3D printer using resin printing. The Dremel for minor corrections proved to be quite useful. After fixing the parts with Japanese glue, I used Vallejo airbrush paints. The Infinity Airbrush's fine nozzle didn't clog.

While painting the model, I tried to mimic the primer transitions used by Adam Savage with similar techniques. Of course, color choices matter in this process, and when it comes to details, you prefer the brush. With the brush technique, you can easily achieve rust and paint retention.

Apart from my other jobs, it was a project that took me 2 and a half months. I noticed that some parts repeated the left and right feet, but I must say I saw the effort and result in the models.

I would like to thank Adam Savage and his team for this project.
